Our Team

  • Shania McGee (Hip Hop and Heels Instructor)

From the sidelines of the Indiana Pacers to the Dance Fam studio, Shania brings pro-level energy, fierce style, and a whole lot of fun to every class she teaches. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Shania cheered her way through Pike High School before falling in love with dance—and never looking back.

She’s danced with the Indiana Fever’s Inferno Hip Hop Squad, spent six seasons as an Indiana Pacemate, and is currently lighting up the court as part of the dance team for the Indy Ignite Pro Volleyball Federation. When she’s not performing in front of thousands, she’s teaching hip hop at Premier Academy and now bringing her signature sass and precision to Dance Fam in heels, jazz, and hip hop.

Shania’s classes are where confidence meets choreography—so if you’re ready to slay and strut, she’s your girl.

  • Brandon Balentine (Musical Theater and Tap Instructor)

Brandon enjoyed an amazing professional dancer career with David Hochoy of Dance Kaleidoscope for 10 years. While dancing there, he worked with multiple renowned guest choreographers. He also has danced for Michael Feinstein, Kristin Chenoweth, Macy Gray and Dr. Oz at his Gala in NYC. He's taught dance for the last 14 years and is trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, partnering, and Acro. He also has choreographed for multiple arts organizations around the Indianapolis area.

Brandon is so excited to be teaching musical theater dance classes and tap for Dance Fam!

  • Bethany Mascaro (Tap Instructor)

Bethany brings over 15 years of dance experience to DanceFam, with training across a wide range of styles. But if you ask her what really makes her toes tap (literally), it’s tap dance! Drawn to its musicality and precision, Bethany finds tap to be the perfect blend of rhythm, expression, and technical challenge. She loves helping students connect with the unique sounds and storytelling that tap allows—whether they’re learning their first shuffle or mastering intricate rhythms. For Bethany, tap isn’t just about the steps—it’s about finding your own voice through movement and sound.

In addition to her diverse dance background, Bethany is a certified Jazzercise instructor, known for her high-energy classes that blend dance, fitness, and empowerment. Whether in the studio or on the fitness floor, she’s committed to helping students build confidence, strength, and joy through movement.

When she’s not in the studio, Bethany’s world revolves around her busy little crew: her husband, their two kids—Charlie (5) and Calvin (3)—plus two pups and three rabbits (yes, really). She’s a total animal lover and loves hitting the trails on horseback whenever she gets the chance.

  • Victoria Glascock (Ballet and Contemporary Instructor)

Victoria took her first dance class at just 3 years old and hasn’t stopped since! From national stages to international performances, she’s trained and competed in nearly every style: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop.

After earning a Dance minor from Indiana University, Victoria jumped straight into teaching and has been sharing her love of movement with kids and adults ever since. Her mission? To remind every student that everyBODY can dance, and to help you feel confident, creative, and totally at home in the studio.

Get ready for technique, expression, and a whole lot of joy—Victoria’s ballet and contemporary classes bring it all!

  • Karen Khe (Hip Hop Instructor)

Born in Matamoros, MX and raised in the Midwest, Karen is a movement artist and choreographer known for her fluid fusion of energies.

With roots in Latin dance and freestyle, Karen began her training under veterans of the Indianapolis battle scene. She later expanded her artistry by learning from a diverse array of choreographers across both the commercial industry and the broader dance community.

Karen’s training spans multiple styles, including hip hop, open style, bachata, salsa, kizomba, waacking, and reggaeton. Her movement is a blend of these forms, driven by the belief that every song carries a distinct feeling and color that shapes the choreography. Her work is ever-evolving, constantly influenced by the people and environments around her.

Her performance credits include competitive teams such as MiA Cru, Alter Ego, Xiphos Collegiate Dance Team, and Px2i International Team. She is a former instructor at InDanza Studio and has trained extensively with mentors both locally and internationally.

  • Arianna Brown (Jazz Instructor)

Arianna Brown grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, where she studied dance and competed for eight years. Her professional journey began early as a member of the Indiana Fever Inferno hip-hop squad for the WNBA.

Arianna continued her training at the prestigious Theater Arts Preparatory School (TAPS) in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she received comprehensive instruction in dance, singing, and acting. Shortly after completing the program, she landed her first professional contract as a featured dancer at Cedar Point amusement park in 2021.

Her talent and leadership quickly stood out, earning her the role of Dance Captain and featured dancer/singer in Cedar Point’s 2022 Motown production, “Come See About Me.” She went on to book two contracts with Carnival Cruise Lines as a dancer/singer, and returned to Cedar Point in 2023 and 2024 to choreograph for multiple seasons.

Now back home in Indiana, Arianna is eager to teach and share her passion with the next generation of dancers, bringing her industry experience, creativity, and love for the art form into every class.

  • Jess Lazarz (Tap Instructor)

Jess fell in love with tap at age 6 and spent the next 12 years training, performing, and developing a deep appreciation for rhythm and musicality. After a short hiatus, she couldn't stay away for long and is thrilled to be back in the studio sharing her passion. Jess taught tap for four years at Mor' Danc'n' in West Lafayette, where she discovered how much she loves helping students grow in skill, confidence, and artistry.

While studying at Purdue University, Jess stayed connected to the stage and blended her love of music and movement as a member of Purduettes and actor with the Civic Theatre of Greater

Lafayette. In her classes, Jess brings energy, positivity, and a strong focus on musicality.

Whether you're new to tap or have been dancing for years, she's all about creating a fun, supportive space where every dancer can find their rhythm!

  • Ashley Parks (Social Media Assistant)

Ashley is a true midwest girl – born in Ohio, went to college in Michigan, and lives in Indiana. She is the biggest Dance Fam fan.

She has a vast background of dance experience since she was 2-years-old in every style. Her favorite is ballet because she loves the fluid movements, but she enjoys all styles that we offer. Beyond dancing, she was also a theater kid and enjoyed performing onstage.

When Ashley took her first class at Dance Fam, she was hooked! She loved the spirited energy and being back in the dance environment. It made her feel happy and fun-filled all over again like her childhood memories. When the opportunity came to help with social media and marketing, Ashley was excited to take on the role.

She has a business degree and previous experience in marketing that helps her in this role. She loves all things social media and is here to make Jaelynn’s life easier (and more organized!) She is looking forward to bringing fresh ideas and fun content to the Dance Fam family.
